Club Statement

Everton have confirmed that the resignation of Chief Executive Keith Wyness is not related to the planned move from Goodison Park to a new stadium in Kirkby.

Wyness' departure was announced on Tuesday night.

A club statment on Wednesday said: "The club wish to re-iterate our commitment to the Destination Kirkby project.

"The departure of Keith Wyness is in no way connected to that project."

Chairman Bill Kenwright added: “Keith is going but the club is unaffected.

“In the short term we have a terrific team in place at Goodison so it's business as usual.”
